Unwind at Burrington Farm

Burrington Farm is a traditional Somerset longhouse that dates back to the 15th Century. It comes complete with flagstone floors, elm doors, oak beams and open fireplaces. The big farmhouse kitchen is warmed by an aging Aga.

The floors of this lived in family home are strewn with oriental rugs and the walls are hung with original photographs and paintings; there are also books galore.

Barry and Ros Smith made it their family home 35 years ago and are very much part of the fabric.

They love the place. And since their boys left home they’ve enjoyed sharing it with guests.

There are three guest bedrooms in the main house.

Recently they converted the two barns at the rear of the property into luxury, self-catering holiday lets. A third barn, the Garden Room, they use as additional bed and breakfast accommodation.

So if you’re after traditional B&B, or a holiday let or something in between you’ll find it at Burrington Farm.

You’ll also find another invaluable commodity:

The ability to unwind.
