Burrington Farm B&B
Burrington Farm has featured in Alistair Sawday’s ‘Special Places to Stay’ for the last four years.
The appearance in this B&B ‘Bible’ is not only due to the characterful nature of the old house, it’s also down to Barry and Ros.
They are seriously interested in people. So you are genuinely welcomed into their home and encouraged to enjoy it to the full.
Upstairs there are three guest rooms, the Master bedroom with en-suite, the Twin/Double room with its own separate bathroom and the
Pink double bedroom.
Then there’s the Garden Room. This old cow byre has recently been renovated providing a spacious, self-contained annex. It’s oaky, airy and beautifully finished.
There are two double beds, a kitchenette, as well as a dining and seating area. And there’s a separate wetroom.
It’s ideal as a family room and sheer luxury for a couple.
For breakfast you have an option. Either cook your own, (we even provide the provisions), or come over to the farm.
Breakfast is a communal affair around the large farmhouse kitchen table. Ros serves local eggs, bacon and sausage. All the marmalades and jams are homemade and come from the WI. Even the yoghurt, Yeo Valley, is made in the next village.
If it sounds like the ‘good life’, it’s because it is.
Just enjoy and u-n-w-i-n-d.
