Burrington Farm, Frys Lane, Burrington, Somerset BS40 7AD

An area of outstanding natural beauty

The farmhouse and barns are in the village of Burrington, a picturesque hamlet on the foothills of the Mendips. This designated area of outstanding natural beauty is excellent walking, riding, mountain biking, cycling, rock climbing, pot holing and ballooning country. And the properties are within casting distance of the famous trout lake of Blagdon. (Burrington Farm is also handy for people getting hitched at Coombe Lodge the imposing wedding venue overlooking the lake.)

Also within easy reach are the caves of Cheddar and Wookey Hole, the cathedral city of Wells, the Georgian city of Bath and the home of Isambard Kingdom Brunel: Bristol.

The Somerset coast is equally close to hand with Brean Sands, Clevedon and Weston-super-Mare offering the holidaymaker a variety of activities including golf at the championship course at Burnham & Berrow.

There are numerous hostelries in the area most of which serve food from Michelin starred cuisine to good home cooking. The two best are on the doorstep: the Plume of Feathers in Rickford a 10 minute walk and the Crown at Churchill a 5 minute drive.

For sheer variety; country, city, seaside, culture, adventure, sport, shopping, relaxation, whether airborne, on the ground or underground Burrington Farm takes some beating.

As a place to unwind it's unbeatable.
